White Production Design were delighted to be contracted by White Space Creative Solutions to provide the technical elements of the WellChild 2016 Awards Ceremony held at The Dorchester, Park Lane. Set and staging was designed by Steve Green of White Space Creative Solutions and included a large LED video wall with fans of lights emanating from it and silver shimmer effect panelling underneath. Custom elements also included an 18ft long CNC-machined disabled access ramp that had to blend into the fabric of the stage and a number of printed panels.
Lighting designer Tim Soden employed around 80 moving lights from White Production Design’s hire stock, including 16 of the Robe Robin Viva LED-based profiles. Many of the 24 Sharpy beam fixtures in the rig were used to blitz the numerous 1m mirror balls installed. Generics were taken care of with a selection of Arri Tungsten fixtures.The audio department utilised a D&B Y-Series line array, Yamaha QL5 control, Shure ULX-D microphones and Cisco networking. Video, managed by John Gibson and David Davenport, included a large 2.6mm pitch LED wall, Analog Way processing and a number of Samsung 75inch LED displays.
