White Production Design have recently added Shure ULX-D Radiomic systems and DPA microphones to their hire and production equipment stock. The systems have a number of key features that set them apart from the field such as Dante audio networking and digital audio encryption for maximum security on high-profile events. Recent upgrades to the Yamaha QL and CL firmware now allow all feature of the systems to be monitored from the screen on the mixing desk when using the systems over Dante. With the potential to use up to 160 systems simultaneously and audio quality regarded as equal to, or often better than, that of Shure’s UHF-R system, they were the only choice for White PD.
The purchase of 24 systems from Pearce Hire (www.pearcehire.co.uk) was completed in early 2016 and included dual and quad receivers, KSM8 and Beta58 handhelds and beltpack transmitters. In addition a full complement of DPA4060 lapel and 4066 headsets were purchased to give the best possible front end audio to any event.
