The Black Magic Design Up Down Cross is a compact 3G-SDI and HDMI interface. It is used to convert any SD or HD video format to any other SD or HD format. Video sampling rate for the UP Down Cross is 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, working alongside an audio sampling rate of 48kHz and 24bit.
The Up Down Cross offers true broadcast quality for professional AV use. Featuring both SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs, they can be used in many application situations. Multi rate 3G-SDI connections allow users to work in all formats up to 1080p60, which incudes level A and B devices and computer resolution scaling via HDMI in. Users can move easily a high number of HD formats, up to 3840×2160 Ultra HD resolutions.
