The D&B Y8 is a long throw, high performance, 2-way passive line source module. Using the correct D&B hardware the Y8 can be either flown or ground-stacked. The Y8 has a frequency response of 54Hz to 19kHz with a 400/1600W power handling capacity. It can be used with either the D20 or D80 amplifier and can deliver a max SPL of 139dB.
The Y8 features 2 x 8″ drivers with neodymium magnets for transferring a vibrant and transparent performance and a 1.4″ exit compression driver that delivers precise and velvety high frequencies. The sophisticated horn geometry has a nominal dispersion of 80 degrees and coupled with the bass-reflex port design offers full bandwidth capabilities with and extended LF output. The design of these high performance line array modules enables vertical arrays of up to 24 speakers with splay angles from 0 to 14 with a 1 degree resolution.
