These 1.7m set panels are constructed from the best quality, responsibly sourced, PSE (planed square edge) redwood timber which is stained black before assembly. A mixture of 2×1 and 2×2 grade wood is used in the panels and all joints are glued and double screwed. Frames are built to strict plans with a +/- 0.5mm tolerance rule and all cuts are double checked for length and defects.
Set flats undergo a multi-point grading and service every time they come back to the warehouse. If a panel is deemed suitable as A or B grade it will then be serviced, packed and stored ready to go out. Panels that fail to make A or B grade have a further assessment. If frameworks are structurally sound and not too worn they will be stripped, serviced and recovered. At that point it will be an A-grade panel again. If the frame is deemed to be past its best it will be stripped of fabric and disassembled. The timber is then transferred to our lucky-timber stock that is used for on site bracing and consumables.
Our hire stock includes a significant range of set panels that allow us to undertake all but the largest of set & staging production jobs. We are confident in producing very large projection screens and printed backdrops on site. To enhance our staging and backdrop services we have an in-house work shop that is equipped with a range of modern machinery and a 3m x 2m CNC router.
