The Avenger Turtle stand, or C-stand base, by Manfrotto is a great addition to any studio lighting package. The fold-flat design is great for storage and the large footprint makes it very stable – even with heavy loads. Fixtures are mounted via the standard 28mm spigot receiver.
The Turtle stand is clean and simple in it’s appearance while still being stylish enough to look good as a meaningful item in camera shots. We often have them mixed and matched with taller stands from the range to create interesting backdrop effects with fixtures from our hire stock such as the Arri 2k+ and the Robe onePATT.
