Screw jacks are designed to set the base of a vertical 48mm scaff pipe at an exact height and to spread the point load evenly via the floor plate. They are manufactured from galvanised steel and are very hard wearing. These screw jacks can be used with either steel or aluminium tube and we keep two versions in our hire stock to cover a range of uses.
In event production applications screwjacks are often used when building stage platforms on uneven or sloped surfaces. They are also useful when building risers for LED video walls, that are incorporated into set designs, when construction heights need to be exact. If platforms are constructed using screw jacks it is important to employ additional cross bracing of legs to ensure stability.
White Production Design LTD hold a full range of staging accessories in our equipment hire stock such as leg savers, packing, bracing and modular step systems. When building stages on site we are experienced in using a wide range of coverings and valance products such as carpet, acrylic, soft plastics and stretched cotton fabrics.
