The D&B Y-SUB is a high performance cardioid subwoofer. It can be ground stacked or flown using dedicated D&B hardware. In standard mode the Y-SUB has a frequency response of 39Hz to 140kHz with a 600/2400W power handling capacity. It can be used with either the D20 or D80 amplifier and produces a max SPL of 134dB. 2 of these subs can be used per amplifier channel.
The Y-SUB features 2 separate drivers, an 18″ in a bass-reflex chamber facing to the front and a 12″ in a two chamber bandpass design to the rear, both drivers feature neodymium magnets. The sub has splay angle settings between 0 and 2.5 and can be flown purely as a column of Y-SUBs, or at the top of an array of Y-series loudspeakers making these incredibly versatile cabinets.
The cardioid dispersion of the Y-sub makes it particularly suitable for events where controlled dispersion of lower frequencies are key. White Production Design LTD hold the complete D&B Y series range in our hire and production equipment stock.
